About C.A.R.E

Community Assistance and Relief for Everyone

C.A.R.E works towards helping hardship cases for area families and community projects.

Throughout the year C.A.R.E hosts many events to help raise the money that will provide the needed assistance in our area. Events include Spring and Fall Catfish tournaments held at the public levy and park in Mason, WV. We are co-sponsors of the Special Olympics Golf Tournament which is held at Riverside Golf Course also in Mason, WV. We also sponsor many gun raffles and chicken bar-b-ques to help towards our fundraising efforts.

We rely heavily on local organizations and local businesses for contributions to help support our fund-raisers.

Although provide assistance throughout the year to those in need, our "Kids for Christmas" is our main goal every year. C.A.R.E will spend over $11,000 every year to help local needy children enjoy their Christmas holidays by providing presents and holiday treats to over 20 families which includes approximately 90 children.

2009 CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS

This year Bend Area C.A.R.E raised $11,000.00 that helped 22 families, including 70 children, have a very Merry Christmas. There were also several $100.00 food gift certificates distributed to many families in the area.

C.A.R.E would like to thank all individuals and businesses that have contributed in making the Kids for Christmas program such a large success.

Please continue to support us throughout the upcoming New Year so we can carry on the tradition of helping area families and children have a joyous Christmas and Holiday season.
